How To Care For Your Rosery Apparel
Here are a few tips to make your Rosery Apparel (and your other handmade clothes) last.
- Wash inside out and by hand. Simply fill up the sink with soapy water, let your clothes soak for a while, then rinse them under the tap. Once your clothes are clean, wring out excess water with your hands or a towel and hang the clothes to dry.
- Hang to dry inside out in the shade. This will prevent fading - due to Rosery Apparel being made from recycled fabrics at times, the vintage fabrics may fade if dried in direct sunlight. Another tip would be to hang them on the line with a coat hanger to prevent those annoying peg marks.
- Hang your dresses. Instead of folding them away it's better to hang your Rosery Apparel on a coat hanger in the cupboard. This will prevent unnecessary creasing and will keep them looking brand new.
- A stitch in time. All Rosery Apparel is handmade by me in my home studio, and nothing beats the quality of handmade clothing. However, if there is a lost button or a ripped seam, they can be easily repaired with a needle and thread. The key is to keep on top of the wear and tear and fix them as soon as they appear. This also goes for your other clothing too, and will help your clothes last longer and not end up at the tip!
