Our Picnic Wedding

Tomorrow it will be exactly 7 months since we got married, and so I thought I would finally get around to sharing some photos from the day here.

Matt and I didn't want a traditional wedding so opted for a picnic instead, and it was for sure the best day of my life. It was a lot of hard work, as we did EVERYTHING ourselves. Catering (with the help of my amazing mum who cooked for a solid 2 weeks leading up to the day!), decorating, sourcing picnic baskets, wooden chairs, blankets, cake plates, and other vintage bits and pieces (I went op-shopping every Tuesday for a whole year), I made the bridesmaid dresses and the groomsmen's bow ties, and then we even packed all of the picnic baskets with the help of our bridal party until 1am the night before the wedding! However, even though it was a lot more work then we ever dreamed it would be, we wouldn't have had it any other way.

Our lovely photographer and friend Jesse, from Lusy Productions took these photos and I think they speak for themselves what our wedding was like. They certainly give me a warm feeling inside every time I look at them. x
